Pregnancy Resource Center

The Sandy Pregnancy Resource Center had it's beginning as the Sandy Family Services Counseling Center. Sandy Family Services was a ministry started and initially funded by the elders and members of FBC that sought to offer counseling services for the Sandy area. Chuck Schreiner was the original director who helped to start and direct this ministry that offered family counseling, drug and alcohol programs, and pregnancy counseling. Over time the various counseling resources were reduced, until the only thing that remained was pregnancy counseling. Sandy Family Services eventually became associated with the Christian Action Council which is now known as Carenet. Under Carenet it became known as the Pregnancy Resource Center. FBC continues to contribute to this ministry financially, and has many members who volunteer their time and resources at the Pregnancy Resource Center.
